24 and 25 March 2026 Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA Youth)
Manchester Mind would like you invite you to attend Mental Health First Aid (Youth) training.
All sessions must be attended and unfortunately we cannot record sessions. The sessions will be practical and participants will be encouraged to join in and take part. However, remember, if something doesn't feel right, you can stop any time.
This is Mental Health First Aid England Training. Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) courses are for everyone who works with, lives with or supports young people aged 8-18.
This course will teach you the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues in a young person, offer first aid and guide them towards the support they need. In doing so, you can speed up a young person’s recovery and stop a mental health issue from getting worse.
We won’t teach you to be a therapist, but we will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis—and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.
Most importantly, you will leave with the skills to look after your own mental health so you can set an example for young people. By giving you the tools to have these conversations, we hope to empower you to create a mentally healthy, supportive environment in your family, school, peer group or community.
How will the booking process work:
- Please register your place using the "Register Now" button on this page.
- You will be asked for your email address which is how we will communicate with you before and after the course. This needs to be an individual email address in order to recieve the completion certificate.

- If you would prefer future communication in alternative forms to emails, please email training@manchestermind.org
- All sessions must be attended to receive your MHFA (Youth) certificate
COST - £275+VAT per person
Remember, discussing mental health and wellbeing isn't always easy. As we don't have any prior knowledge of you and your past experiences, we want to make sure you are keeping safe, so if you have any concerns during the sessions, please let us know by emailing training@manchestermind.org, or you can call our Welcome Team on 0161 769 5732.
